Bringing Data Stories to Life
This project involved creating an engaging and visually compelling infographic and expanding its elements into an animation concept. The infographic aimed to clearly communicate a topic through hierarchy, original design, and effective storytelling, with a focus on target audience engagement. The animation element built on this, transforming key aspects of the infographic into a dynamic storyboard.
For this project, I started by designing the infographic in Illustrator, using an isometric grid to build a clean, structured layout that visually communicated the milestones of web communication. The isometric approach allowed me to create depth and dimension while maintaining a cohesive style across the design. I carefully balanced typography, illustrations, and hierarchy to ensure that the narrative was clear and engaging at a glance.
After finalizing the infographic, I moved to Blender to bring it to life. Using the poster as a reference, I recreated its elements in 3D, keeping the isometric perspective consistent. Smooth transitions and animations were added to highlight each milestone, and I rendered the project in Cycles to achieve a clean, polished look.
To enhance the experience, I incorporated sound effects and subtle background audio, syncing them carefully with the animation to guide the viewer's attention. This process transformed the static design into an engaging and immersive narrative.
